1-2-1 Pilates Instruction


If you're looking for specialist 1-2-1 instruction from a qualified and experienced Ante/Postnatal Pilates Instructor who has worked with over 400 pregnant and postnatal women, then why not book a block of 1-2-1 Pilates sessions with Claire Mockridge, a Pilates Teacher with over 5 years experience in the fitness industry.  The benefits you will gain from individual, hands-on instruction are numerous. Claire will guide you through each exercise, adding variety and challenge where necessary, to keep you wanting more.


PREGNANT WOMEN

If you're pregnant and would like specialist Pilates instruction to help you tone and strengthen muscles which alter during pregnancy, safe in the knowledge that your program has been tried and tested, time and time again with proven results, then 1-2-1 Pilates is for you. Claire knows everything there is to know about the anatomical changes occuring in your pregnant body right now, and she can tailor a program, specifically for you, whatever stage of pregnancy you are currently in (even pre-conception). Claire will take time explaining the correct position your body must be in to perform Pilates properly, and will give you variations should anything feel uncomfortable. An individual 1-2-1 session is particularly beneficial for women who are suffering with back pain and pelvic instability conditions.


POSTNATAL WOMEN

Pilates is a fantastic form of exercise for postnatal women to do, due to its focus on core and pelvic floor strength.  In your first appointment, Claire will make a full assessment of your posture, test your core/pelvic floor function and do the all important "rec-check" which assesses your abdominal re-alignment.  Claire will set you a personal program to follow, complete with take home Worksheets, which will help re-align your posture, strengthen and relieve tension in weak and tight muscles, and slowly and safely return your body to its pre-pregnancy state.  Motherhood places several demands, not just emotionally on the mother, but also physically on a postnatal woman's body, and it is vitally important that you seek specialist instruction, should you wish to start an exercise regime.  There won't be a sit up in sight on your program, and Claire will educate and empower you on what exercises are safe and effective to perform postnatally, how to look after yourself now that baby has arrived, and important practical movements such as lifting and carrying your baby and optimal feeding positions etc.

BOOKING / COST

1-2-1 sessions are paid for in blocks of 5 sessions (£80 per session) and must be paid for upfront, and used within a timeframe agreed by both parties.
